Research Assistant for the AMIR Project

The department operates at Campus Sundsvall and Campus Östersund. The activities include education and research in pedagogy, psychology, and social work.

Job Responsibilities

The subject of Psychology is seeking a research assistant for the AMIR group (Assessment of Mental health and Intervention for Refugees).

We research mental health and integration among individuals with a refugee background. The assistant's tasks include project administration (e.g., taking meeting notes, creating structure in the filing system, coordinating participants, etc.) as well as simpler research-related tasks (e.g., participating in recruitment, measurement, assessing suitability for participation, etc.).

Eligible for employment as an assistant is someone who is in their third year of the psychology program at Mid Sweden University.

Other Requirements

We are looking for someone who is organized and structured and has a good ability to coordinate complex activities and processes.

You should have good computer skills and be quick to learn new software for treatment.

You must be fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Personal Qualities

We are looking for someone with good collaboration skills and enthusiasm and curiosity about research.

You should be able to listen, see what needs to be done, and also take initiative and work independently.

You should have a good ability to meet people from many different backgrounds.

Assessment Criteria

Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities.

Experience working with people from a wide variety of backgrounds is an advantage.

Experience with software for digital treatment programs is also an advantage.

Processing

Employment and Start Date

The position comprises 10% of full-time from 2026-04-06 or by agreement, but no later than 2026-03-31, or a maximum of one year.

The employment may be renewed in accordance with Chapter 5, Section 12 of the Higher Education Ordinance (1993:100).
